An underrated horror with some holes in the script of

Bongo

I was surprised by this film, one of the most gripping horror films I've seen recently. The story concerns two brothers who return to the family farm due to their father's worsening condition. The film makes good use of the clichés of the genre and does not shine with originality (even if there is no shortage of twists) but nevertheless (or perhaps precisely because of this) it manages to keep the viewer captivated and involved. The cinematography is very effective, while the screenplay, in my opinion, has some holes: some ideas from the film remain a bit pending and cannot be answered, to the point that it made me think of a screenplay that had been reworked several times. However, this is a nit-picky detail that does not prevent us from appreciating a very underrated film, in my opinion. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but it's a film that wouldn't look out of place next to The Witch, for the same "visceral" atmosphere, or the Babadook, for the loneliness of the protagonist dealing with a distressing story.
