Simple entertainment, but of the highest level of

It's not always the case that, when you watch a film, you necessarily want to grapple with the Big Themes of life: sometimes you simply want two hours of entertainment: in this sense, the film hits the mark completely.George Clooney and Brad Pitt alone could be enough to say "look at me", and certainly if this film works it is above all thanks to them. In addition, in my opinion, to an absolutely superlative photography. The story takes place in the space of one night, in a humid and snowy New York, and the sequence of events leaves no respite. But above all it is the friendliness of the two protagonists that reigns supreme, offering a very high number of truly hilarious and biting conversations, probably even more enjoyable if you can (or can) listen to them in the original language. Certainly the masterpieces are others, and for this reason I give it 9 out of 10; but it's really perfect for what it needs to achieve! Read all

I honestly started watching thinking I would be bored. Judging by the trailer it could've gone either way but I never got bored. This is a great short story that allows Brad Pitt and George Clooney to just be the good friends that work really well together to have fun together. They have a lot of great moments where the natural banter of two of this generations best actors shine. The director allowed them to flex their strengths, and gave them the opportunity to do it. There are also powerful silent moments that we are all familiar with, where we can almost hear their inner thoughts. I think, these were the most captivating moments in the film.
