This Spanish horror is very beautiful, Casademunt's direction has a great impact, many well-constructed medium-long shots, small camera movements to create tension and the total sensation of having this Beast (fear) always present and lurking. The film it is very "Babadookian" in this sense, the beast like the Babadook feeds itself on the fear of the characters. Characters written and narrated very well, the sense of isolation with the growing fear, madness is present, the protagonist's mother evolves (involves) during In fact, the film goes from loving to disturbing, loneliness destroys it, fueling the beast. The mother-son relationship is well explored and told, it is the strength of the film together with the beast which is well managed and has an excellent design. Lucía and her son live isolated from society in a flat place where there’s practically no life.
