In this wonderful dramatic film, the theater of the Nazi ego is well represented by director Mar Targarona, in the wicked actions of the concentration camp officials, in their secret experiments, in that father who teaches his son to hunt the Jews like they were beasts. The responsibility of memory, however, is well preserved in the shots stolen by the photojournalist Francisco Boix, a Catalan communist who was imprisoned in the Mauthausen concentration camp. The true story of a man who will be a key witness at the Nuremberg trials. Hope will become a fire in him that will warm him and allow him to survive even the coldest human behavior. Frames that will show that banality of evil that Hanna Arendt will later write about. Whether written with ink or with light, the story cannot be forgotten. I found the performance of the lead actor, Mario Casas, excellent. Eyes capable of transmitting vital energy. plot

Spanish photographer Francesc Boix, imprisoned in the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp, works in the SS Photographic Service. Between 1943 and 1945, he hides, with the help of other prisoners, thousands of negatives, with the purpose of showing the freed world the atrocities committed by the Nazis, exhaustively documented. He will be a key witness during the Nuremberg Trials.
