Third chapter of the Matrix saga and here too we find ourselves faced with a beautiful film, excellently staged by the Wachowskis who continues the philosophical, symbolic and religious disquisitions started by the previous chapters. If in the second chapter Neo was afflicted by everything the film from Trinity's fear of losing, this time the Wachowskis immediately choose to make him more vulnerable (in Limbo his powers are useless) and also as a narrative the film is not Neo-centric, it is in fact divided into two sections.. .Zion's resistance and Neo and Trinity's journey towards the city of machines. The technical sector of the film is gigantic, the action scenes are of the highest level, all of Zion's resistance is extraordinary, the same thing for Neo and Trinity's journey Trinity, the scenarios of the city of machines, the extraordinary frame of the sky above it and obviously the final fight. In this chapter Neo becomes a messianic figure and his nemesis Smith is exactly the opposite; if Neo is light (his sight becomes light), Smith is darkness... The Matrix is represented in a very dark way, light and darkness having to collide is precisely inevitable. As with the other films, here too there are many interpretations. ..the distinction between man and machine becomes more and more subtle (the initial dialogue in the book about it is beautiful), the discussion on love is equally beautiful, the Neo-Trinity relationship is more and more intense, and obviously the central pivot of the choice ...the choice that determines consequences and that makes us be ourselves. Smith himself has a beautiful evolution in this saga...from a program, a mere executor of orders, to becoming almost a rebel compared to his creators, he totally escapes to control. It is no coincidence that control is also a central theme of the saga, control leads to anomalies that causes rebellions.
