Review of  Ignazio Venzano Ignazio Venzano
It's a gamble, making a film in which the protagonist essentially has two lives. One is that of the beginning, where there is success, money, loneliness and fleeting adventures. The other is the one in which he is catapulted, where there is the demanding stability of a family with children, money counted, the days always similar. The challenge is well faced, with the decisive contribution of Nicolas Cage, who passes from one life to another without too many traumas. Very American call for an assumption of responsibility. Beyond a certain hypocrisy that inevitably dwells in those who reach the top and preach to those lower down, the story is well constructed and does not bore. Some may even reflect on the choices they have made in their life. Read all

plot

Jack's lavish, fast-paced lifestyle changes one Christmas night when he stumbles into a grocery store holdup and disarms the gunman. The next morning he wakes up in bed lying next to Kate, his college sweetheart he left in order to pursue his career, and to the horrifying discovery that his former life no longer exists. As he stumbles through this alternate suburban universe, Jack finds himself at a crossroad where he must choose between his high-power career and the woman he loves.
