Banal stupidity that succumbs to evil of

La Prof Dell' Horror

Intrigued by the avalanche of positive reviews, and by the title, which is quite expensive all things considered, I ventured with confidence into this refined film, light years away from the splatter that my palate is fond of and to which it is now accustomed. I won't drag it out too long, there was a certain disappointment, not with the film, which, of course, isn't technically flawless, but the story didn't, it didn't convince me. Ok, it's assumed that in horror, the victims are idiots, and suffer a tad bit of dementia, but here, excuse me if I state it frankly, they are to the nth degree! However, I would categorize the work more as a dramatic thriller, with very slight horror undertones. I wonder why I read around: "unexpected conclusion", but where? Heck, you can immediately see where this is going! Knock knock, what could possibly happen? Will they return home safely, or will they lose their scalps? Even the gimmick that should represent the textbook plot twist is widely anticipated, since seeing parents treat a mute child with such severe and ruthless methods has largely already revealed the ending to you. The plot is simple, linear. A Danish family with a little girl accidentally meets another Dutch family in Tuscany who has a son who is missing part of his language. Subsequently, the Danish suckers receive an invitation from the other "nice" family to spend a "very pleasant" weekend with them. The house is well secluded, and equipped with various comforts, well yes, after all, it seems really cool. Between rudeness, antics and antipathies, it still seems difficult to abandon those harpies.
