In the mid-80s the Western, after the previous decade of "rethinking" its topoi, was less in vogue than in the past and in search of itself. Kasdan gives us this beautiful film with a classic feel and an immense and wonderful cast, even in the minor roles. Then came the 90s with Kostner who here, perhaps not surprisingly, began to gain experience with the genre and offered a light-hearted interpretation in line with the spirit of the time (he became more committed and serious with "Dances with Wolves ”). plot

Four unwitting heroes cross paths on their journey to the sleepy town of Silverado. Little do they know the town where their family and friends reside has been taken over by a corrupt sheriff and a murderous posse. It's up to the sharp-shooting foursome to save the day, but first they have to break each other out of jail, and learn who their real friends are.
