Another one? But what's the point of another review of Pulp Fiction? You certainly don't need it, but I do. One of the films of life, of those few that when you leave the cinema you can't wait to recommend to the whole phone book and that, on the journey between the cinema and the car, you already compete with your fellow viewers to quote the (countless) iconic lines. Yes, because now PF is an icon that has set a precedent. The incredible and didactic soundtrack, the actors in a state of grace, a matryoshka story that plays with the time line...Then Tarantino, who already with 'Reservoir Dogs' had made us smell that (perverse?) taste for cartoon violence, the exaggerated characters who joke around until paroxysm in nightmarish situations... truly a 'mushroom cloud exterminating son of a bitch'. If you haven't seen it yet I'm very sorry for you but it's one of those films that anyone who loves the seventh art can't miss having seen (at least four times...) Read all

“Pulp Fiction” is another masterpiece by Quentin Tarantino, released in 1994 with an incredible cast that includes John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman. The film is a set of interconnected stories that take place in the criminal underground of Los Angeles, presented in a non-linear way and amalgamated by Tarantino's brilliant screenplay. John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson play Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield, respectively, two gangsters with sharp dialogue and a magnetic stage presence. The dance scene, set at the Jack Rabbit Slim's restaurant, emerges as a style icon, who in fact - after seeing the film - has not tried to repeat the steps taken by Vincent and Mia? Here we see Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace (played by Uma Thurman) participate in a twist contest, and the sequence becomes an elegant and engaging celebration of 1950s pop culture. Tarantino's direction offers a spectacle of pure entertainment. The soundtrack, as throughout the film, is carefully selected and includes iconic songs which blend perfectly with the images. The song "You Never Can Tell" by Chuck Berry accompanies the memorable dance scene, creating a playful and engaging atmosphere. Tarantino's ability to mix dark humor, violence, and human feelings is palpable in every scene, but it is in the dance scene that this skill reaches its peak. Travolta and Thurman dance with an effortless grace, and Tarantino's use of the camera captures every movement in a dynamic and engaging way. Ultimately, the dance scene in "Pulp Fiction" is a moment of pure cinema, where the music, the choreography and interpretations come together in elegant harmony. This film continues to be celebrated as an icon of contemporary cinema, and the dance scene is undoubtedly one of the most memorable and recognizable moments in cinematic history. Read all
