Faith, belief, destiny. Prey tells of a group of people, above all the husband and wife missionary couple, who after a plane crash find themselves at the mercy of ferocious and ravenous animals. In terms of photography and staging the film is valid, there are remarkable shots, very well constructed, for example the sunset scene is beautiful, as is the scene with the smoke signal among the remains of the plane or the eyes of the lions approaching during the night. directed by Makunda Michael Dewil therefore shows qualities, an excellent taste in composing the shots, in using sunlight to construct pictures with a good look, the animals that are seen are not in CGI but it is on the writing side that the film disappears. First of all, we must ignore the fact that the group survives the plane crash, ok we can even stay there, but the film becomes very Christian-centric. The missionary's faith, the decision to remain in the remains of the plane together to their companion because they have faith and therefore everything must go well, it is a very catechism concept as well as many other implications. The fulcrum of the film is having faith and believing, faith in religion but also in companions and in the case of protagonists in the couple. There is a scenically also aesthetically beautiful moment, with the protagonist who gives the crucifix in the center of the frame irradiated by sunlight to another survivor who however refuses it because he doesn't believe, needless to say what the outcome will be for such a character. plot
