It's a confusing film Passages. If Tomas, the protagonist, has very clear ideas as a director and knows how to be rigorous and inflexible to the point of fussiness, in his private life he never seems to find his way. The problem with the film arises from the fact that in trying to portray such a volatile character, it also goes astray in the screenplay phase. The dialogues and the plot become one of those games where anything goes just to shuffle the cards, without even thinking too much. Inconsistencies, second thoughts and transformism sometimes make you smile more than reflect. It's a shame for the cast which on paper represented one of the most interesting European mixes. In the end Rogowski struggles to give credibility to her character and Exarcopoulos finds herself sacrificed in a powerless role that doesn't suit her. Whishow comes out better, but without leaving his mark. In the end, what should have been a fun film about the freedom of feelings and relationships becomes a shapeless work that finds no path other than to punish the freest element of the trio. Really disappointing. You can probably see better on screens in this period, and although with regret, I would say that Passages can be left alone. SinRead all
Beautiful and damned film, like all love stories that involve body and soul. He has a husband, but he meets her and falls in love with her (at least it seems so, because it is difficult to decipher the level of love with her). The ex-husband adapts and finds a new partner. The cheater then reconsiders his plans and returns to courting her ex-husband: a mess in short, like all tormented love stories. I liked it.Read all
