Review of  Ignazio Venzano Ignazio Venzano
Story of a laborious escape from food addiction and obsession with one's body, the latter fueled in particular by comparison with what is seen on social media. An unexpected friendship can help, but things are not simple, especially if the obsessions continue. A psychologist could also help, but you should always tell her the truth. The film has met with some success among admirers of the director (in her first film), who is the actress Brittany Snow. Appreciations can also be seen on the Internet from those who have had to face similar problems, as what happens in the film is largely more than realistic. The writer does not fall into these categories and can say that the film has its own interest and plot, which follows the tormented relationship of Riley (Courtney Eaton) with her friend Ethan (Thomas Mann), which sometimes even reaches something more of friendship, but it always breaks down in the pockets of what the protagonist doesn't want to confess to anyone. The acting is more than good. Overall, the film is visible but without particular expectations. Read all
Review of  Amalia Amalia
Brittany Snow's first film, Parachute, hits hard in the best way. It's a real gut-punch of emotions, diving deep into mental health. The story's about Riley, a young woman just out of rehab for an eating disorder, trying to heal while juggling a messy relationship with Ethan. What makes Parachute pop for me is how it handles mental health with such raw honesty. It's not just about the romance; it's about Riley's real struggle and recovery. Knowing that Brittany Snow, who's been open about her own battles, directed this makes it feel even more real. Also, the little details, like Riley's ladybug bracelet echoing Snow's own tattoo, give it a personal touch that really hits home. Even the cast crushes it—Courtney Eaton and Thomas Mann have amazing chemistry, and the supporting crew, including Gina Rodriguez, Joel McHale, Dave Bautista, and Kid Cudi, all bring their A-game. Plus, it's cool to see Kelley Jackle and Chrissie Fit from Pitch Perfect in there. Fair warning, Parachute is heavy, so maybe watch it when you're in a good headspace. It's a film that's super important, especially with the mental health talk we need today. All in all, it's a powerful film that shows off Brittany Snow's awesome directing and her deep understanding of what it's like to deal with mental struggles. Read all
