Since they gave us the now infinite saga of "Fast and Furious", the comparison with films of the same genre is almost obvious. Which is why, in recent years I have never felt the need to see this film, thinking it was a copy of the original, having no idea that before the film, Need for speed was a popular video game. I have to confess that I liked it... and a lot! It certainly has all the classic clichés within it: a visceral love for motors, a story of friendship, revenge and redemption, even if this story is more focused on justice. Screenplay constructed with care and attention, beautiful action sequences, breathtaking races, rhythmic dialogues, fitting and obviously, the credit goes largely to Aaron Paul, at the time fresh from the conclusion of the cult series "Breaking Bad" and who manages to convince in this case too, but in reality the cast is full of young Hollywood promises where things went really well, above all, the Oscar winner Rami Malek and the legendary Michael Keaton, here as an exceptional narrator. plot

The film revolves around a local street-racer who partners with a rich and arrogant business associate, only to find himself framed by his colleague and sent to prison. After he gets out, he joins a New York-to-Los Angeles race to get revenge. But when the ex-partner learns of the scheme, he puts a massive bounty on the racer's head, forcing him to run a cross-country gauntlet of illegal racers in all manner of supercharged vehicles.
