Review of  Emiliano Baglio Emiliano Baglio
It's only the end of the worldLouis returns to his family after twelve years of absence to tell them that he is about to die. Louis (Gaspard Ulliel) is in the taxi taking him home and looks out the window while, in alternating editing, his mother Martine (Nathalie Baye) is busy preparing lunch. Tiny fragments of lives flow outside the window, stories barely hinted at by rapid brushstrokes that immediately capture you and about which you would like to know everything while the images fit together with the music that accompanies them in a magical and perfect fusion. This use of music will often return in Xavier Dolan's latest masterpiece, often to seal the climax of the various confrontations between Louis and his family. This extraneousness is further underlined by the following scene, the one in which Louis arrives home and which shows the back of her sister Suzanne (Léa Seydoux) in the foreground while her brother remains out of focus, a use, that of out of focus, which is another of the characteristics that characterize the film. From here on it will be a deluge of words , often pronounced, Read all
