Egg hatched with love will lead to much pain of

La Prof Dell' Horror

A quite interesting and promising debut by Hanna Bergholm, who, although imperfect, manages to clearly outline contemporary society and the incessant search for wanting to appear, rather than be. With a fair amount of skill she is able to analyze this cross-section through an at times refined body horror. The strong hypocrisy of an era that relies heavily on appearance, a continuous and exasperated hunt for what could be trendy. A heavy and obsessive desire for personal fulfillment, she transpires in abundance in this Hatching-The form of evil. The subject appears strange and destabilizing, and in various respects, very disturbing. In this case the anguish arises more from the misfortunes that an adolescent finds himself experiencing, rather than hectoliters of blood or mangled bodies. Tinja is a young athlete oppressed by a despotic and unnerving mother, who through false smiles, and continuous filming of an "exemplary" existence, tries to show the world a fairytale family, when in reality, it is a hoax. The little girl seeks fulfill the dreams of a suffocating parent despite everything that prevents her from having a normal puberty. Her father is practically non-existent, and lends himself to the farce, aware of his wife's double life. (Who, very candidly, colludes with the handyman Tero, in spite of the happy family, (but as we all know, dead cats know how to impose themselves on their husbands). The tragedy is right there on the doorstep: first, a crow enters their house to disturb such tranquility, and as if nothing had happened, the icy matriarch will break his neck. Tinja will go to bury the poor animal, and will find an egg in the woods to save. When that shell breaks, what will come out of it, will amaze you.
