On their fifth wedding anniversary, Amy (Rosamund Pike) mysteriously disappears. Everything suggests the woman was killed by her husband Nick (Ben Affleck) but the reality could be very different from how she appears. Every year, on the occasion of her wedding anniversary, Amy organizes a treasure hunt for her husband. If Nick solves all the riddles then he can have his gift. “Gone Girl” is also a treasure hunt. Each new clue leads to a discovery that calls into question everything that has happened up to that point. But until this happens the spectator totally believes in what he sees and is convinced that it is the truth. David Fincher plays with us by offering us multiple plots that intersect with each other, multiplying the points of view, mixing the present and the past. First of all there is the double police investigation to find out what happened to Amy.
