Who hasn't seen Crazy Friday? Definitely everyone! Freaky is undoubtedly its gore, captivating and crackling version. In my opinion Christopher Landon has a rather brilliant and original mind; after "Best Wishes for Your Death" and the sequel, he signs a bizarre, pleasant and whimsical horror film. The idea of inverting the soul of the victim with that of the executioner opens up an innovative avenue, and I would like to see more developments of this kind. Millie is the classic loser teenager, few friends, a critical family situation, and a secret love. Everything is normal, a stereotypical protagonist, an announced tragedy. But, just before we meet her, a massacre welcomes us, opening the gates of a a film that doesn't want to skimp on blood, in fact, quite the opposite. Scent of massacre, longed for and necessary. An ancient weapon shines and sparkles, capturing the attention of the villain of the moment, to whom Vince Vaughn lends his face. Breaking the display case and stealing that trophy is the minimum wage, since it fascinates and threatens infinite evil. What can happen when that ferocious and giant serial killer ends up in the body of a shy, awkward and slightly bullied high school girl? Big trouble, and an avalanche of exaggerated vehemence. Endless misunderstandings, and an excellent dose of violence, despite in some cases there is a lack of power. (It is not easy to find yourself in a rather thin shell, and the murderer will sometimes struggle, wasting energy in a feverish fight) . This exchange of bodies guarantees numerous sparks, a crescendo of tension, irony, complete with a dance by the good Vince, capable of convincing his faithful that he is poor Millie, and not a bloodthirsty and ruthless killer.
