Jean Rochefort is very good at playing an elderly gentleman who would like to see a daughter who he thinks lives in Florida. Indeed, every now and then the story stops and we see the old man flying to Miami, more than once asking us how he got to the plane and appreciating the kindness of the flight hostesses. The problem is that the elderly easily loses their memory and does not realize it. Much less does he want to be sent to a nursing home. His daughter (Sandrine Kimberlain) who lives near him is thus forced to take on the problems of the case. The acting skills of the two protagonists keep the film in the right balance. As is easy to understand, it is a bitter comedy about what can happen when you get older. It is made with great delicacy and grace and so sometimes you smile and look at it carefully. Read all

plot

Although he's now eighty years old, Claude Lherminier is still as imposing as he ever was. But his bouts of forgetfulness and confusion are becoming increasingly frequent. Even so, he stubbornly refuses to admit that anything is wrong. Carole, his oldest daughter, wages a daily and taxing battle to ensure that he's not left on his own. Claude suddenly decides on a whim to go to Florida. What lies behind this sudden trip?
