Planetary stupidity prevents the contemporary world from seeing the absurdity of its own system. (T.W.Adorno) A newly built, elegant and apparently comfortable apartment is purchased by virtue of Hye Jung's negotiation/plea bargain with the employing company of her husband, who died due to a fire. The woman, mother of a teenager, decides to end the protest despite the opposition of the victims' families who have been stuck in a sit-in for a long time. The apartment is located in the famous Dream Palace, and from day one it presents an insidious problem that is almost unavoidable: only rusty water comes out of the pipes, even if kept open for hours. Despite Hye Jung's complaint, there is no solution to the problem; the manager of the sales office claims that it can only be resolved when all the apartments are sold... From here a tormented daily via crucis will begin for the young widow relating not only to the impossibility of using water if not purchased in plastic packages but especially on the hindering reality of the victims' families. An almost inextricable bureaucratic-social-relational labyrinth will make the film Kafkaesque insidious: the sense of responsibility towards others, the son, the choices and actions naively undertaken for good purposes will derail good intentions into the worst consequences. The central conceptual element of the film concerns the impossibility of making changes in an impersonal system such as that of large companies. Claiming one's rights in a system based on Divide and Conquer turns out to be a self-destructive dynamic. Between the impossibility of giving up and the intricate alienating mechanism that structures the stalemate, all that remains is to be banal customers/consumers who must submit to rules and respect one's duties without being able to access fundamental rights. plot

Hyejung has lost her husband in an industrial accident and adds the settlement money to move into the new apartment called Dream Palace. She belatedly learns that the apartments are in an unsold state and have defects, but the residents who are worried that housing prices will fall try to silence Hyejung, who is protesting. Hyejung, who left the labor protest site in compromise with reality, has no choice but to start another protest to protect the apartment she bought at the cost of her husband′s life.
