Acting
I admit, I watched the film more for the protagonists than anything else. Generally I'm not attracted to this kind of comedies, it tends to exasperate the "stupid" component of the couple, to the point of being unpleasant rather than annoying and perhaps sometimes it's even It's the actor's fault for pushing his hand too far. Furthermore, the film is the remake of the original French "Dinner of the idiots" and I, don't blame me, I have a big problem with French cinema, I can't digest it. Having said that, I found a certain balance here, I I laughed heartily and for sure, I reconfirm the love I have for Steve Carell (who can really do anything) and Paul Rudd, the man who never ages 😂 The plot is quite simple: Tim (Rudd), has a life started working, but would like more, aims for the top levels. Tim thinks he has found his winning horse in Barry (Carell), known through an innocuous traffic accident, a very particular individual with a passion for dressing fake mice as historical and non-historical characters, to create works of art. Obviously I can't make comparisons with the original having not seen it, but starting from the assumption that we are not talking about a film nominated for prestigious awards, if you want a light, cute and entertaining film, Dinner with an Idiot is for you your.
