Matrix, is that you? No, unfortunately not. Between yellow pills and blue pills, reality that perhaps isn't and superpowers of our "heroes", quotationism is wasted. Although Bliss clearly distinguishes itself from the more famous precedent for being light in tone, not apocalyptic. It is clear that there is a purpose in all this (the vision of a better world) but the involvement is missing. The interpreters don't help either, as they take everything lightly, as if what happens isn't important, because that reality doesn't exist anyway. And neither does the movie. Read all
Review of  Amalia Amalia
I found film to be an intriguing but somewhat uneven sci-fi drama that really dives into questions of reality and perception. Owen Wilson plays Greg, a man whose life is unraveling, while Salma Hayek's Isabel pulls him into a strange narrative where their broken reality is supposedly just a simulation, with the real world being a perfect paradise. The film touches on some cool philosophical ideas like happiness, addiction, and escape, but the execution felt a bit hit-or-miss for me. Hayek's wild, unpredictable portrayal of Isabel definitely stood out, while Wilson gave a solid performance too. That said, the constant reality shifts got confusing at times, making it hard to stay fully engaged. Visually, there were some really striking moments, especially in the "perfect" world Isabel describes. But overall, the film felt like it was trying to juggle too much and lost focus, leaving me with more questions than answers. Bliss has big ambitions, and while some viewers might connect with its abstract vibe, others, like me, may find it a bit disjointed and distant. It's an interesting watch, but not necessarily one I'd rush to revisit. Read all

plot

A mind-bending love story following Greg who, after recently being divorced and then fired, meets the mysterious Isabel, a woman living on the streets and convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is just a computer simulation. Doubtful at first, Greg eventually discovers there may be some truth to Isabel’s wild conspiracy.
