Review of  Balkan Castevet Balkan Castevet
Vaughn is a good director, especially when it comes to action, he is capable of creating pop films that are beautiful to look at, pleasant with relevant action scenes. Argylle notices signs of weakness in the staging, the CGI is not good, far from it , so when it is present it is invasive and ugly to look at, for example in the initial action sequence with the escape/chase with Dua Lipa the CGI takes away too much from the staging and the visual rendering is therefore rather poor in those situations. Ah, if anyone is interested in the film just for Dua Lipa, I would like to inform you that she is only present in the first few minutes. Vaughn's typical comic and pop visual verve is therefore a bit watered down, even the various scenarios and settings that follow one another, Greece, London, France, Arabia... have no expressive force. The director is a lover of spy stories, Bond movie, it was already clear from Kingsman but also in Argylle the references and the desire to parody it are evident. It is in fact a film that knows how not to take itself seriously as the writer of novels concerning spy stories she will find herself living right inside the stories in which she writes, therefore taken under Aiden's wing the typical couple comedy dynamics will be triggered. The film is full of reversals, twists and turns, however these in reality are almost never true and own surprises, but basically for me this is not a big problem. If anything, it is that for what the film tells, a spy-story in comedy style, the film is too long and not all the characters are captivating. The villains of the story have little bite, the boss of the directorate and his partner appear to be a bit of villains because yes in a film like this they have to be there but they don't have not only who knows what Read all

Accompanied by her cat Alfie and Aiden, a cat-allergic spy, Elly races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Conway's fictional world and her real one begins to blur.
