While I've seen most of the Christmas movies, it's always nice to find new little gems! Many of these, despite a cast made up of high-sounding, well-known names, often go unnoticed when they actually deserve greater consideration. Family Holidays, a 2016 film, really has all the right ingredients to enter the list of Christmas movies to watch again, a film "special", not because it has a plot never seen before, but because it represents family Christmas in the most authentic way possible to reality, while maintaining the classic "American" humorous rhythms, as it should be. Who's lucky? of having a large family, he will certainly be able to find himself and every single member of his family in the interpretation of each character, who has perfectly defined strengths and weaknesses. They tell us a story, the main one, where we can identify, making us emotional, laugh and moved exactly as we would in "real" life. When there is union, despite the difficulties, you always find the strength to move forward and smile. This is the true message of the film. The plot: What is about to end has been a particular year for Walter (Glover) and his family, so he asks all his children, now all married or busy with their own careers, to spends the 5 days before Christmas all together, in the house where they all grew up. Walter's only wish: that everyone gets along. In families, we know, we aren't always on the same page. plot

Walter Meyer is a retired mechanic who lost the love of his life one year earlier. Now that the holiday season is here, he invites daughters Rachel and Cheryl and sons Christian and Evan to his house for a traditional celebration. Poor Walter soon realizes that if his bickering children and the rest of the family can spend five days together under the same roof, it will truly be a Christmas miracle.
