Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life within you. (Jn 6:53) The ocean caresses the earth. It slowly breaks on the shore. The rhythmic noise of the waves rocks the world. A disturbing sound accompanies some figures that stand out on the screen. The ocean is always there to compose its lyrics. We are on an island. There is a luxury resort. The tourists are arriving. Among them is an overweight, scruffy man, about whom we know nothing. His name is Mike. We will never leave him. Right from the start, he exerts a magnetic and inexplicable attraction on the facility's staff and guests. More than the entertainment offered by the resort, he seems to be looking for something else. Perhaps a limbo, a void, a suspension. He observes the sea which is already an ocean. Speaks little. He eats in excess, never seems full. Everyone looks at him with admiration. One morning, walking on the shore, he encounters a giant octopus stranded on the shoreline. The octopus speaks to him - with a persuasive and warm voice - and whispers mysterious prophecies to him, revelations that the man welcomes with his usual indecipherable silence. Then the octopus sinks and disappears into the ocean depths. “May your voice ring out. May your gaze attract. May your heart light up. Let your mind get excited. May your sex rise." Mike develops thaumaturgical powers. He whispers inaudible words of life, the creative spark emerges within him. The guests and all the staff see in him a divine presence, a manifestation of the infinite. At the Palacio, an all-inclusive resort in the carribean, Mike's arrival complicates the normal flow of operations. His voracious appetite, mysterious magnetism and unexpected miracles bring him the curious, among which he makes three friends and meeets a few admirers, a jealous salsa teacher and an enamored octopus. All of whom will accompany him in a gargantuan downward spiral mixing civil unrest and intestinal meltdown; a change of administration held up by the most attentive staff in the world.
