Like stuff for Verga in Alcarrras, the land is the source of support for an entire family group. Land at risk as the grandfather made a contract with a handshake and did not obtain any written contract. Thus the work of several lives is about to come to an end. The director tries to work hard by following the stories of the various members of the family, their doubts and their existential crossroads. All in a bucolic and rediscovery sauce. Of those peasant values that have been in fashion in recent years. The epic dilemma, however, comes precisely from neoecology because whoever loses the land loses it precisely to the detriment of those who want to create an area of eco-friendly and extremely modern photovoltaic systems. Here is the ethical and moral setback of the film that raises it from a simple story to a moral story. The dignity of country life or clean energy for the good of the world? The homogeneous and realistic cast embodies the cohesive community of rural areas. The direction, however, is quite anonymous and the narrative development sometimes proceeds with difficulty, making the film a little too long. Golden Bear at the last Berlin Film Festival, a work with uncommon themes arrives in theaters, but which struggles to capture the viewer.
