Review of  Ezio Porto Ezio Porto
One Hundred Sundays is the latest film by Antonio Albanese. It is difficult to review this film without giving spoilers, but I will try. First of all it is good to specify that I loved Antonio Albanese's directorial debut "Man of Fresh Water " and "Hunger and Thirst" are cult for me. But then his subsequent films disappointed me greatly, too grotesque and little substance. In this new film of his, Albanese completely abandons his comedic side, trying his hand at drama. But it's not right...What's wrong? First of all, the colors and the scenography are too dark and grey, they make you let go of milk (as they say in my country) even before the film starts to develop. on the second floor the actors, apart from Antonio Albanese himself, all seem to be amateurs at risk, all of them. In third place, the story. Even though it is a denunciation and although courageous, in the end it does not give satisfaction, because redemption or "revenge" they are not there and the victim carries out an extreme action that does not take into account that in that moment the "victim's" baton passes to whoever remains and must move forward. There is a major underlying inconsistency in this when the lake is repeatedly framed , the protagonist does everything to bring his daughter to the wedding, but then in the end his actions certainly lead to the opposite result... I didn't like it at all and it ends up in the list of the worst films of 2024. Read all

plot
