Troppo azzurro

(Film, 2024)

"Troppo Azzurro" Filippo Barbagallo's debut as an actor and director is a small film but it perfectly traces the drift of a generation, especially the drift of the "Italian male".

Almost thirty years old still with his parents, pampered and protected as if he were still 5 years old.
For this reason he is insecure, emaciated, a stutterer, afraid of leaving that safe haven to build his own nest.
On the contrary of the woman who is forced to masculinize herself because she almost feels the biological need for independence and urges man to play his role in this society...

But the increasingly feminized man doesn't want to hear about it stop sucking from mum's tit'.

The film is entertaining because the protagonist looks like a young Italian-style Hugh Grant complete with big glasses that hide charming blue eyes, shaggy hair and nervous tics. The scenes with the talented Valerio Mastandrea and the spontaneity of the film in general are also beautiful.
The soundtrack and the choice of photography and titles are nice.
