Good genre film narratively well written and directed by Tourneur who personally does not shoot his best film here as he is a master in the horror genre.
The film works as a structure, the character of Jim is constantly chased and related to the research of the insurance policy agent.
Tourner's hand is however noticeable, the sequence of the fight is excellent and also that of the fashion show which manages to give good suspense as is the quote to Rear. Hitchcock's Window.
Always in terms of writing, the entire management of the briefcase works really well.
